They survived.
Now help them heal.
In Malaysia, our project partners do work that most people will never see. They operate on the front lines of child trafficking — rescuing children and giving them a safe place to begin the long journey toward recovery.
But for many of these children, recovery isn't just emotional. The physical abuse they've endured leaves damage that requires reconstructive surgery to repair. Without it, these children carry the evidence of their trauma in their bodies for the rest of their lives.
Our partners work with volunteer surgeons who donate their time and expertise to perform these procedures. The aftercare is provided by a team of women who are themselves survivors of trafficking — women who have been through the same surgeries, who understand what recovery looks like from the inside. They care for each child through every stage of healing with a depth of understanding that no textbook can teach.
THE NEED
12 children are waiting.
Right now, there are 12 children in our partners' care who need reconstructive surgery. They range in age from 7 to 14. Each one has been rescued. Each one is safe. But each one is still waiting for the surgery that will help them move forward.
Because our surgeons volunteer their time, the cost of each procedure is just $750 USD. That covers everything — operating theatre time, medical supplies, anesthesia, medications, and post-operative care. Every dollar goes directly to the unavoidable costs of the surgery itself.
To fund all 12 surgeries, we need to raise $9,000.
THE CARE MODEL
Healing in the hands of those who understand.
What makes this program extraordinary is the people behind it. The two women who founded and run the program in Malaysia are survivors of trafficking themselves. They have been through the same trauma and the same reconstructive procedures as the children they now care for.
They lead a small team of adult survivors who provide round-the-clock post-operative care. When a child wakes up from surgery, they are surrounded by people who truly understand what they are going through - not just medically, but personally.
This survivor-led model of care means that your donation doesn't just fund a surgical procedure. It funds recovery in the truest sense - physical healing guided by people who have walked the same path.
HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS
Every gift funds healing.
All donations are pooled to fund surgeries for children in need. Here's what each level of giving covers:
$750 — Funds one complete surgery for a child, from operating theatre to full recovery
$350 — Covers operating theatre time and equipment for one procedure
$150 — Covers anesthesia and all medications for surgery and recovery
$100 — Covers all surgical supplies, dressings, and wound care materials
$75 — Covers post-operative hospital monitoring and nursing care
$50 — Covers aftercare materials and follow-up medical checks
$25 — Covers a child's nutrition, comfort, and essentials during hospital recovery
No gift is too small. Every dollar goes directly to getting these children into surgery.
